Jay Porter is a C-level counselor with 20+ years’ experience accelerating the convergence of brand, reputation and digital.
He has worked with some of the tech sector’s biggest names and helped leaders in other industries navigate tech-driven disruption.
Jay served as president of Edelman’s founding Chicago office, adding clients like United Airlines, Businessolver, Principal Financial, Eli Lilly and Hologic, while expanding its remit with longtime clients like Kellogg’s and Barilla.
Previously, Jay led Edelman’s global Starbucks team, advising on topics as varied as market entries, gun issues, growth in China and in-store marketing. Jay joined Edelman Seattle in 2005 and then managed Edelman SF, serving clients like eBay, Charles Schwab, Trulia, Norton, Microsoft and Expedia.
Prior to Edelman, Jay held strategy roles at integrated marketing firm SS+K and design consultancy Landor Associates, working for clients including Xbox, Nike, Isilon Systems, Getty Images and numerous startups.
He graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in English.
